"I strongly recommend Laura and would not hesitate to refer my friends, family, and colleagues to her. She is the best.

Laura was referred to me by one of my colleagues who spoke extremely highly of her. I was interested in buying a new home and needed someone with expertise in the Madison Park area. I wanted someone with experience in the area I was looking and who routinely dealt with these types of transactions. From the very beginning I was impressed by Laura's knowledge, friendliness, and "can do" attitude. I felt like I was in great hands, which makes all the difference.

When we found the home we truly loved I was a bit nervous about the cost and the overall process, but Laura was great at soothing my nerves and helping me to continue moving the process forward. Although she was busy she was always willing to speak by phone or text, and more importantly she always attended any meetings related to the purchase in person to help me. For example, she attended the home inspection with me so that she could understand any issues and advise me about them. She helped me understand the concerns raised by the inspector and then did independent research about the others, contacting local builders so that we could understand whether something was problematic or not. I was truly impressed. She then negotiated a fair resolution with the builder/seller. I felt that she was doing a great job at representing my best interests throughout. Finally, she was skilled at crafting offers and counteroffers that were reasonable, warning me if I was asking for something that was never going to fly buy encouraging me to ask for something else instead. In the end I got my house!

Given how wonderful Laura was when buying my new house I absolutely wanted her help selling my prior home (a condo in downtown Seattle). Laura did an amazing job with it. She knew I wanted to sell it ASAP with minimal upgrades, but she also knew I was extremely busy at work and didn't have a lot of time to get the project underway. She went way above and beyond the call of duty by interviewing painters, finding a discount carpet shop, negotiating a deal for me with the painter and the carpet-layers, and being there to tell them what needed to be done and how she wanted it to look for maximum sale appeal. Thanks to her taking over the process and pushing it forward we were able to list the property the month after we moved out, and even better, it sold after only two days on the market with multiple offers well over list price! Other units in the same building have sat on the market for an extended period. She did a fantastic job with it.

Perhaps one of the best compliments I can give Laura (and advice to anyone reading this) is that I heard from several different agents that I was represented by "the best." When touring open houses on our own we would be asked who we were working with. When I mentioned Laura's name, the agents universally respected her and praised her. When purchasing my new home the seller's agent remarked to me offhand that I was in great hands with Laura, and he was right. Other agents are often the best judge of the skills and talent of their colleagues, and Laura was clearly respected and known by all. It made me feel good to know that I was in such capable hands, and in the end she proved that to me firsthand throughout my experience working with her.

In sum, I cannot recommend Laura highly enough. She is capable, smart, professional, and kind. She's willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done and make a client happy. Don't hesitate to hire her -- she truly is the best!"

"In all aspects of my professional life, I run into folks who are exceptional in their given trade. Laura, is a true genius and outlier in real estate sales, marketing, and negotiations. Laura brought forward a team of experts including a designer to stage our home and get a price that exceeds our expectations. On the purchasing side, Laura found us a home that fit our family, expertly negotiated pricing and options on our behalf and saw us through all aspects of the sale of our home and purchase of a new property. Laura’s professionalism, poise, and approach are unmatched and we are indebted to her. We are loving our new home and would not be in this position without Laura’s help. "We have worked with Laura on three real estate transactions. Laura was our purchasing agent five years ago. When we started looking for a new home, there was no question that we wanted her on our side again. Over the past three months, she has worked with us on a challenging contingent purchase within Seattle's most competitive market. Laura navigated the extreme highs and lows of this stressful landscape with an ease, grace, cool and elegance that is unique to her. She is passionate about her work and is a true advocate for her clients. We exchanged ideas at nearly every hour during a day, on nearly every day of the week until we were able to simultaneously close on the sale of our old home and the purchase of our new property. On many occasions, she skillfully buffered, as only a seasoned agent would, our interactions with our counterparts. We are thrilled and thankful that we had Laura on our side."

"It as an absolute pleasure to work with Laura during our house hunt. She took the time to understand what we were looking for as new homeowners, and led us through a clear search. She was always positive, even when we met challenges, and kept things in perspective. Laura has a great understanding of the market, and was able to quickly and clearly call out key points of the properties that we had missed, while also finding simple opportunities to make improvements to the properties. She walked us step by step through the inspection through purchase process, and gave us the tools we needed to make the most competitive offer. She never forced us out of our comfort zone for budget or location, but also didn't set unrealistic expectations. She and her team were available during the weekends and evenings to help see houses, and answer our many questions. "Working with Laura Halliday was a pleasure from the beginning of our process to the end. Our first impressions of Laura were that she is honest, direct and very hardworking. We were nervous about being a buyer in the current market environment. There was little inventory and many buyers looking in  the same neighborhood as us and in our price range. We put ourselves in Laura’s capable hands and began the process of finding a home. The first time Laura took us looking at homes it became apparent that she knows everyone in the neighborhood we were looking in and everyone knows her. It was also clear to us that Laura is very well respected – we always felt a sense of confidence having her on our side. We looked at many properties and made several offers on listed properties with stiff competition. During this time Laura always remained positive, telling us not to worry, that our home was out there. Laura called us one day with a private listing she wanted us to look at. We looked at the house 2 days later and within 24 hours had mutual acceptance. We could not believe our good fortune. Within 4 months of looking, we were the owners of what we can only describe as our PERFECT home and the credit goes to Laura. We laughed that we did not know who was happier – Laura or us! She is simply fantastic."

Decades on, mid-century modern continues to feel fresh.
